1.    Our world has a tremendous need for favor and blessing from God.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says the land will be healed when God’s people humbly come to Him.  If we truly are seeing a need for favor and blessing, what does this say about the role God’s people are playing in the world?
2.    God has clearly called Christians to pray.  Look at 1 Cor. 2:9 and Jer. 33:3. What do these verses tell you about God’s attitude towards prayer?
3.    The responsibility for impacting families, communities, and nations for God’s kingdom lies with the people of God.  Prayer is the key to making sure our lives are in line with God’s will and power in order to see an impact.  What would happen if God’s people took seriously the power they have been given?
4.    When we pray, God changes our perspective.  What does Ephesians 6:10-12; 18 tell us about the battle we are in as believers?  How does this change your perspective in regards to dealing with unbelievers and the world in general?
5.    2 Chron. 7:13-14 says that God promises to bless when His people humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways. What do you find significant about the response God requires from His people?   How does this affect your attitude towards prayer?
